Winter at the Ranch

Page Photo The Kids are so excited about having snow!! And of course we had to move back on one of the snowiest winters on record! Now snow is fine when all you have to do is play in it. But when Dad has to start plowing, shoveling, and getting around in all of this snow, well, then it becomes work! However for the kids it is one endless sledding, skiing, boarding, snow-mobiling party! Nate, Emily, and Isaac have been participating in an after school ski program at Leavenworth's family friendly Ski Hill. Josiah we just try to keep warm, though he loves being in it & even eating it. Don't worry we've warned him about the yellow stuff, which Tanner our dog seems to make artistically all over the place. They've all faired wonderfully through this winter. We've only had one bout of sickness, which I'll spare you the details. I Started the year with my back out (a buldged disc) and thanks to many prayers has gotten much better. Lisa continues to keep extremely busy between all of the kids and cleaning the Lodges at SWR. She has also enjoyed being able to get back to cross-country skiing right outside her back door. We've enjoyed getting re-acquainted with old friends here in little ol' Plain.
