About Whidbey Island YD
Positioned an hour and half between two major cities; Seattle, WA and Vancouver Canada, Whidbey Island for many is a place of restful ocean beaches and tranquil mountain views. However, in 1979 Youth Dynamics ventured here knowing that hidden within the exquisite creation still demanded a need for the Creator. Back then there were no youth pastors and little youth ministry taking place. Since then times have changed in Oak Harbor, thankfully many youth groups now exist, yet still a huge void remains amongst those who do not feel comfortable inside church. As we’ve seen the city of Oak Harbor grow in size, we know now that surprisingly over two-thousand teenagers are included in our population. This speaks to the urgency of our call and because of this, we must be creative in how we build relationships with students.
Our current facilities include a brand new activity center complete with TV’s, a pool table, X Box’s and a stage. The YD staff visits the High School on a weekly basis. As well we offer a large group meeting on the first and third Monday of the month, a student leadership team, community service projects and Adventure Trips and Retreats throughout the year. It is the goal of Youth Dynamics to partner with the churches and the Christian community of Oak Harbor.
One of the most amazing and rewarding experiences in life is to be in a relationship with a young person. To be able to know these students and speak into their lives has life long effects. We are working closely with churches and offering opportunities for teens to experience a life long journey with Jesus. Through all these experiences we are doing much for teenagers and our community.

About Skagit Valley YD
Skagit Valley Youth Dynamics is located in Skagit County, just one hour north of Seattle and 45 minutes south of Bellingham. We strive to reach students who are on the edge through authentic relationships, discipleship, and meeting students where they’re at. ...read more
Our staff put a priority on meeting students on their turf. It is not uncommon to see a YD staff person visiting the local schools, cheering a student at a sporting event, eating ice cream with a student, or skating at the local skate park. After building a genuine relationship with students our staff share the love of Christ with them and invite them into a discipleship program.
We work closely with the churches in Skagit Valley to coordinate shared outreach programs as well as connect new believers with a church family. Over 30 years of history in the Skagit Valley have created a wonderful relationship with local businesses, philanthropy organizations, and individuals who generously support our mission of reaching teens with the message of Christ’s love.

About Republic YD
Ten years ago, Mark and Sacha Hasenyager founded Community Youth Ministries in Republic, WA. CYM was designed to bring the gospel of Christ to small, rural areas through youth ministry, especially through discipleship. ...read more
After ten years of ministering to Republic’s youth, they have felt led to leave that ministry to pastor a start up church in Montana. Their desire was to see Youth Dynamics assume the youth ministry that they began.
Republic has eight very small churches, none of which have youth pastors. There are about 1000 people and 300 teens living in Republic. According to the local newspaper, it is the least churched area in Washington State. The community desperately needed something for teens. So, five years ago, CYM embarked on a journey of building a youth center.
The youth center they built ended up being the second largest building in Republic, second only to the school. This 12,000 sq/ft youth center is home to a commercially carpeted gym floor, two-story climbing wall, computer lab, commercial kitchen, and fitness area. In the basement is an apartment and enormous storage area (which has even been used as a bow shooting range).
We can honestly say that we have never seen a youth center quite like this one, and they chose to give it to Youth Dynamics. WOW! Mark and Sacha Hasenyager, the faithful couple who established this work, started with a vacant lot and vision. They proceeded to give years of their lives to see the vision come to fruition. Now, they were prepared to turn it over to Youth Dynamics to see others use their gifts in hopes of a great harvest of souls.
On March 1, 2004, we assumed the title of this generous gift. But infinitely more important, we have been passed the mantle of reaching Republic’s teens for Christ. We are incredibly excited about this new ministry opportunity. We invite you to pray with us for staff, finances, and most importantly, Republic’s youth.
We are in awe that God loved the kids in Republic so much that He would provide for them in such an incredible way.

About Moses Lake YD
After 25 years on the West Side, Mark Evans had a passion to take YD to Eastern Washington. At just over 16,000 people, Moses Lake is one of the larger communities between Spokane and the Cascades, and a perfect spot for our new ministry in Eastern Washington. On Feb. 1, 1996, the first YD banquet was held in Moses Lake. That fall, “The Bridge” youth center officially opened its doors. Eventually totaling over 7000 square feet, “The Bridge” has a basketball court, cafeteria, stage area, and a loft, as well as five offices. ...read more
In 2001 Paul Loeffler was handed the reins of leadership. Up to that time Paul had been the director in Concrete, WA for eight years, and had spent the last year learning how to work with students in a larger community. Paul spent the next three years weathering the storms that come with leadership change. With those storms behind us, we continue to move forward on an even keel, with great goals, and new staff to help achieve them.
Moses Lake YD’s philosophy is simple caring adults build long-term relationships with students in order to earn the right to speak into their lives. Mentoring is the buzz word of youth work right now, yet that aptly describes much of what we try and do. As students see the difference in our lives through time spent together, they will desire to experience that difference in their’s. The staff and volunteers use our weekly events, as well as wilderness trips and Bob’s Island Getaway (our spring camp) as a springboard to build those relationships. Our goal is to walk with students through this period of their lives, offering the hope, peace, and unconditional love they all are searching for, yet will only find through a relationship with Jesus Christ.
“The Bridge” continues to be the main meeting place for students on Monday nights. Their reasons for coming generally fall into three categories: to hang with friends, to play (pool, basketball, etc.), or to quench their need for something spiritual. What they get, no matter what they come for, is a safe place, people who truly care for them, and the Good News of Jesus’ love for them. Our goal is to see Isaiah’s prophecy come true in their lives: They will be called oaks of righteousness, a planting of the Lord for the display of His splendor. (Isaiah 61:3)

About Concrete YD
Concrete YD is entirely staffed by a team of volunteers committed to reaching teens in the Upper Skagit Valley. Concrete School District is the largest school district (by area) in the state of Washington. This means that the kids we minister to come from all over the area. We also travel a lot of miles to meet the needs of the youth. We are amazed at how many teenagers attend our weekly meetings and what they have to sacrifice to be there. It just goes to show that there are no limits to God’s love.
Youth Dynamics came to Concrete over 15 years ago when Paul Loeffler started as the Area Director. After seven years in Concrete, Paul and his family followed God’s calling to Moses Lake YD. Since that time, Kevik and Marta Rensink have continued to carry out God’s purpose for youth in the Upper Skagit Valley.

About Arlington YD
Arlington YD started in 1994 and has been reaching teens in the greater Arlington area. Although the focus of YD’s outreach is Arlington area High School and Middle School students, we have youth participating from surrounding communities of Stanwood, Darrington, Granite Falls, Lake Stevens, and Marysville.
Arlington YD runs the Mud Hut, a drop-in-center that’s a safe place for teens to hang out. It’s a positive, safe environment for them to do their homework, play video games or pool, and drink coffee. The Mud Hut is open Tuesdays 4-8 and Thursdays 2:30-5pm and is located on the top floor of the American Legion building in downton Arlington (near the movie theater). Several times a year, YD also offers adventure trips like whitewater rafting, backpacking and rock-climbing. These trips teach teens responsibility, self-confidence, leadership skills and respect.

About Anacortes YD
Where it all began.
Anacortes is where Youth Dynamics first began. It was 1970 when Paul Evans ventured out to sell life insurance to an Anacortes pastor. The pastor did not buy any life insurance that day, but he did lead Paul into a relationship with Jesus Christ. Paul was so excited about his new found savior that he started telling everyone that he knew about the Lord. Meanwhile, God began to grow a spot in Paul’s heart for teenagers in Anacortes. Through a number of God-ordained circumstances, Youth Dyamics was borne soon after Paul’s conversion.
Anacortes YD has been doing ministry with teenagers ever since. Through weekly meetings, YD adventures trips and relational contact work, many young people have began a relationship with Jesus Christ and are now church leaders today. Anacortes YD currently has a facility located at 2410 J Avenue in Anacortes. The YD facility has assisted in reaching teens in Anacortes now for over 40 years.
Anacortes YD currently has the first husband and wife staff team to join YD in full-time ministry together. Rich and Amy are dedicated to sharing their lives with Anacortes Teens and being the hands and feet of Christ to them. It is their goal to mobilize a team of volunteers to do the same in order to expand the reaches of this ministry. There is also a current job opening for a male full-time staff member who would design a skate ministry to reach the large community of skate-boarders in Anacortes.
