Arlington is located in northern Snohomish County and at the western base of the foothills of the Cascade Mountains in Washington state. From Interstate 5 take exit 208 east for 4 miles into downtown Arlington. Some attractions in Arlington are the Stillaguamish Valley Pioneer Museum, the Arlington Airport, and historic buildings on Olympic Avenue. Arlington YD started in 1994 and has been reaching teens in the greater Arlington area. Although the focus of YD's outreach is at Arlington High School, students have participated from surrounding communities of Stanwood, Darrington, Granite Falls, Lake Stevens, and Marysville. Doug Standal was the first director of YD from 1994-1999. Bronco Huge was the director of Arlington YD from 200-2007. Currently, Stuart Delony is the director of Arlington YD. Jessica Maher also joined the Arlington YD full-time staff team in 2007.
