Where it all began.
Anacortes is where Youth Dynamics first began. It was 1970 when Paul Evans ventured out to sell life insurance to an Anacortes pastor. The pastor accepted his invitation on the condition that he would be able to share with Paul about another form of life insurance. The pastor did not buy any life insurance that day, but he did lead Paul into a relationship with Jesus Christ. Paul was so excited about his new found savior that he started telling everyone that he knew about the Lord. One day Paul decided that he had to reach those troubled teens out there. So, he decided that he was going to go to the high school and try to share Jesus with some kids. After pulling his car up, the bell rang and teenagers started flooding out of the school. He sat in the car and hoped to talk to some kids. When all the kids had just walked by and ignored him, he drove home in disappointment. Upon arriving home he told his wife of his disappointing time at the school. Connie, his wife, replied by asking him Well, did you get out of your car Paul? The next day Paul drove back up to the school and got out of his car, began talking to teenagers, and Youth Dynamics began.

Anacortes YD has been doing ministry with teenagers ever since. Through weekly meetings YD adventures trips and relational contact work, many young people have began a relationship with Jesus Christ and are now church leaders today. Anacortes YD currently has a facility located at 2410 J Avenue in Anacortes. The YD facility has assisted in reaching teens in Anacortes now for over 25 years. Anacortes YD currently has the largest staff team of any YD area and the largest that it has ever had. With a larger staff team and creative programming, thousands more teens will be reached with the gospel in years to come.
