Adventure Week
[hide details]
This 5 1/2-day multi-element course creates opportunities for personal challenge, group bonding, and reflection. Activities include rock climbing and rappelling, base-camp style backpacking, and whitewater rafting.
COME LIVE the Adventure
Take a journey of the heart, mind,
and soul. Henry David Thoreau said
“I went to the woods because I wanted
to see if I could not learn what life had to teach- and not, when I came to die, discover that I had not lived”. COME see what the wilderness can teach you about yourself, others and God.
According to Tony Campolo, “There are those who never reflect with any intensive awareness on any part of their lives…They play it safe and tiptoe through life with no aspiration other than to arrive at death safely.” COME unplug, reflect, and bring your life back into focus.
Jesus said “I have come that they may
have LIFE, and that they may have it
more Abundantly”…then, “COME, follow ME”.
Are you LIVING?
Or are you playing it safe?
LIFE is designed to be an ADVENTURE!
COME embrace the ADVENTURE!
What is an ADVENTURE Week?
Using the Bible as our map and the Holy Spirit as our compass, we’ll reorient ourselves while experiencing 1 day of rock climbing and rappelling, 3 days of “basecamp” style backpacking, and a final day of whitewater rafting.
Think you’re out of shape? No problem. It may be more exercise than you’re used to, but the “basecamp” style approach to backpacking means you hike to camp in one day. Then you’ve got the next day to explore and spend time together without packs. After eating most of the weight in your pack, you hike out with the garbage and start thinking about your final day of whitewater rafting ahead.
Our staff will take care of the logistics, provide the technical gear, the opportunity for ADVENTURE and the Biblical framework.
So what are you waiting for?
Your Adventure awaits...

Pursue Life
When Jesus talks about giving us “abundant life” in John 10, He isn’t just focused on eternity; He’s inviting us to live life fully- NOW. Author Gil Bailie says, “Don’t ask yourself what the world needs. Ask yourself what makes you come alive, and go do that, because what the world needs is people who have come alive.” The wilderness has the potential to wake us up to what really matters in life. It can bring your everyday life into focus and help you reset your priorities.
Come alive and experience authentic community by “living in the same direction” for 5-days. Build relationships through sharing the same experiences and overcoming challenges together in the beauty of the wilderness. Get wild. Get real. Get out!
This 5-day backcountry course is designed for groups looking to live in community, build relationships, and focus on the principles and practice of leadership and service. Take a journey of the heart, mind, and body as you cross high, mountain passes and immerse yourself in the beauty of the Cascade Mountains. You will have moments of personal reflection in the midst of spectacular scenery and opportunities for group discussion and interaction.
Pursue your heart. Pursue relationships.
Pursue your God. Pursue LIFE.

Mountaineering
[hide details]
When you are in town and you look up at a mountain, it always seems so small and distant; while the issues you are dealing with day-to-day are huge.
Ephesians 2:6 says, "God raised us up with Christ and seated us with him in the heavenly realms..."? If we truly grasp that reality, then the cares of this world will not carry the weight they once had because they will seem small and distant in the midst of the surpassing glory of Christ.
Share an adventure in an incredible setting. Renew relational bonds and create memories that will stand as landmarks - like those mountains - for years to come.

What if you could go to a place: that few people will ever go in their lifetime, do something few people will ever do, see things that few people will ever see and discover things about yourself that you never knew were there? This course is for the group that desires to “dig deeper”, both relationally and spiritually.
Kayaking the Owyhee River provides an opportunity to take a complete break from all that distracts us - no video games, no television, no cell phones and no clock to live by. 7 days in one of the most isolated regions in lower 48 states will remind you and your students of what has eternal value.
Come experience the Owyhee River and regain true perspective.
"We get so preoccupied with ourselves, our plans and our projects that we become immune to the glory of creation. We grow complacent and lead practical lives. We miss the experience of awe, reverence and wonder." (Brennan Manning)

Polar Bear
[hide details]
This 5 1/2-day cross-country skiing and winter camping course highlights the value of cooperation and good decision making within a spectacular winter landscape. Build group cohesiveness and test yourself personally as you discover new frontiers in your life and learn the skills required to get you there.
No centrally heated lodge, no ski lift, no “amenities”? Why bother?
Just this…an Adventure of Monumental proportions.
What better way to learn what you are made of, rise to the challenge, and realize you do have what it takes than to put yourself to the test in the winter environment. Consequences are swift, the beauty unparalleled, the rewards priceless. Not only will you learn “skills” like making a snow shelter, using avalanche beacons, and winter survival, but you will learn the value of cooperation and making good decisions. You will go home knowing you accomplished something few people ever accomplish and saw things few people will ever see because they don’t have the courage to “leave the lifts behind”. Come with us. Get out of bounds. Discover new frontiers in your life.
This is definitely not a “ski retreat”. It's better. It’s Monumental!
