About the D'Atres
Rick and Melissa spent their first wedding anniversary as Summer Staff on a backcountry training trip in June 1997. A year later they arrived from Virginia as full-time staff on their second wedding anniversary.
As the Expedition Coordinator, Rick coordinates our various summer expeditions and winter cross-country ski trips (Polar Bears). He trains and equips the backcountry staff to be effective wilderness guides and be able to take advantage of opportunities to share the gospel and impact students spiritually. He also uses his passion for adventure-based ministry to give a vision to others of how it can impact them or their students.
Melissa has been the Food Provisioning Coordinator and the Client Services Coordinator. She now stays at home with our 5 children (Dawson, Isaac, Kalea, Eden, and Silas).
