"In a man's heart he makes plans, but the LORD shall direct his steps." -Proverbs 16:9
This verse was like the sound of a starting gun in Jeremy's heart. He had felt the draw and passion a year earlier to move out west and serve God, however, not wanting to step out in selfish ambition, he gave the desire back to God. This time was different and with it came ever-increasing clarity and confirmation. It was as if God told him,"It is okay our desires are for same! Go for it!" Thus began his jouney to join the YD family.
Jeremy grew up in Ohio and attended the University of Cincinnati, where he majored in physical therapy. It is in this field that he has worked for 6 years. His true passions became very clear during this time as he found the vast majority of his "free time" involved in reaching people with the love of Christ and experiencing God in the wonder, solitude and beauty of the outdoors. When he is not dumbfounded by the scenery around him, he enjoys any activity that can be done amidst this majestic backdrop. He has a particular passion for pushing his own limitations and seeing what is on the other side.
It is Jeremy's hopes to be able to head west and join the team early to mid-summer, as he is currently raising support back home. In the meantime, he is soaking in time with family and friends and learning more about the great God he is seeking to follow with all his heart.
