History
In the winter of 1998 Dave Hanthorn started as a volunteer with YD Adventures and, throughout the next four years, enjoyed the blessings of working with youth in the out of doors. Most of his free time and vacation days were given to the disposal of the ministry in the hopes of being involved as much as possible.
After many months of prayer and consideration, Dave received and accepted an official invitation to full time service here at YD Adventures. With the certainty of God's call for his life, and the full support and encouragement of his wife, Sarah (who he had fallen in love with and was married to as a result of his involvement as a volunteer), he became part of the Oregon team.
Dave is a preacher's kid born in Ontario, Canada who moved to the west coast in 1991 to further his career as a construction superintendent. He brings over 15 years of management skills from the construction industry and a heart to share what God has done in his life with youth.
Position with YD Adventures
Dave has received extensive training in most areas of adventure based ministry since 1998, and is our Raft Coordinator, as well as our Operations Coordinator.

Pray for wisdom and guidance as Dave takes on more and more responsibility.
Pray for continued protection from the enemy.
Pray for continued growth and a healthy support level for the Hanthorn family.
