Who am I?

Come, Thou Fount of every blessing,
Tune my heart to sing Thy grace;
Streams of mercy, never ceasing,
Call for songs of loudest praise.
Teach me some melodious sonnet,
Sung by flaming tongues above.
Praise the mount! I am fixed upon it,
Mount of Thy redeeming love.

How could I express it better than that? I have never been more alive than I am now, and that has everything to do with my Creator who loves me. He tells me one thing all the time.

Hey C. I love you.
The depth of that is staggering.

Jesus sought me when a stranger,
Wandering from the fold of God;
He, to rescue me from danger,
Interposed His precious blood;
How His kindness yet pursues me
Mortal tongue can never tell,
Clothed in flesh, till death shall loose me
I cannot proclaim it well.

He did seek me when I wandered away. I grew up going to church, knowing who He was, but I did not want to do things His way, I wanted to do them mine. I ran away from it all and slowly died inside. His kindness and love pursued me and in love Jesus Christ sought me, accepted me, loved me, and continues to change me.

O to grace how great a debtor
Daily I am constrained to be!
Let Thy goodness, like a fetter,
Bind my wandering heart to Thee.
Prone to wander, Lord, I feel it,
Prone to leave the God I love;
Here is my heart, O take and seal it,
Seal it for Thy courts above.

The more I live, the more I realize how much grace I have been given. These words ring so true in my soul. My heart still is prone to wander, prone to wander away from the God I love. Yet daily I see the grace He pours out on me, the life he gives, and the adventure that I get to live with Him. By His grace I continue to walk humbly with my God.
