Introduction
The wind stung my face and I really couldn't feel my fingers as I stood crouched up on top of Castle Rock. Nothing immediately changed after I made up my mind and climbed back down to earth, but my decision changed my life forever.
I had climbed the hill behind my house 10 years ago to confront my future and my fledgling faith. Up on top of the crumbling mountain I decided to step out from beneath my parents religious umbrella and made my faith my own.
As I came off that hill I knew I wanted to follow Christ with everything. I had no idea where that commitment would take me though.
A significant amount of my face-to-face, life changing experiences with God occur in creation. Christ uses the outdoors to speak into my life just as much as he uses the people who go with me out into the wild.
I'm drawn to the wilderness and I'm excited to be able to guide young men and women on adventures in the woods and with Christ.
Please join me and the rest of us here at YD Adventures as we strive to share truth and hope with today's youth.
Hopefully, someday we can meet somewhere on a river or trail and recount stories of how Christ has brought us closer to him and how he draws people to himself.
